Accessibility Statement

This statement was last updated on April 9, 2026.

We at Machetes of the World are working to make our site www.machetesoftheworld.com accessible to people with disabilities.

Our commitment

We believe that every customer deserves equal access to our products and information. We are actively working to increase the accessibility and usability of our website and, in doing so, adhere to many of the available standards and guidelines. Our goal is to make the browsing and purchasing experience as seamless as possible for users of all abilities, including those who rely on assistive technologies such as screen readers, keyboard navigation, voice control software, and display zoom tools.

Measures we have taken

We have implemented the following measures to support accessibility across our website:

  • Semantic HTML markup to support screen readers and assistive technologies

  • Sufficient color contrast ratios throughout all site content (minimum 4.5:1 for normal text)

  • All images include descriptive alternative text (alt attributes)

  • Full keyboard navigability — all interactive elements are reachable and operable without a mouse

  • Visible focus indicators on all interactive elements

  • Resizable text up to 200% without loss of content or functionality

  • No content that flashes more than three times per second

  • Clear and consistent navigation across all pages

  • Form fields include descriptive labels and accessible error messages

  • ARIA landmarks and roles used where native HTML semantics are insufficient

Known limitations

While we strive to ensure full accessibility, we acknowledge that some areas of our website may not yet meet all WCAG 2.1 Level AA criteria. Known limitations include certain third-party embedded content (such as payment processing widgets and review platforms) which are provided by external vendors and may not fully conform to our standards. We are actively engaging with those vendors to improve compliance. We will continue to conduct periodic accessibility audits and address identified gaps in a timely manner.

Assistive technology compatibility

Our website is designed and tested for compatibility with the following assistive technologies:

  • Screen readers: NVDA and JAWS (Windows), VoiceOver (macOS and iOS), TalkBack (Android)

  • Keyboard-only navigation (all major desktop browsers)

  • Browser zoom up to 200% (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge)

  • Windows High Contrast Mode and macOS Increased Contrast Mode

  • Voice control software including Dragon NaturallySpeaking

Formal complaints

If you are not satisfied with our response to an accessibility complaint, you may have the right to escalate your concern to a relevant regulatory authority. In the United States, complaints regarding website accessibility under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) may be filed with the U.S. Department of Justice. Users in other jurisdictions may have similar rights under applicable local law, such as the Equality Act 2010 (UK) or the Accessible Canada Act.

Feedback and Contact

We welcome feedback on the accessibility of our website. If you encounter a barrier, experience difficulty accessing any content, or wish to report an accessibility concern, please contact us using the Contact Us form. We aim to acknowledge all accessibility feedback within 2 business days and to resolve identified issues within 30 days where reasonably practicable.
